Diagnostic Printer Tester

Used to test and calibrate the Epson 220 "Point of Sale" printer mechanism (not shown).

The  equipment calculates and displays the timings of the various mechanical components, which may then be compared with the manufactures data. Also generates a test print sample.

 2   Dual switch mode regulator providing +5V and +24V.

 3   Current limited print-head pin drivers (with character generator ROM), DC motor drive and tacho sensor.

 4   Microcontroller with full diagnostic program.
