This brushless DC motor controller is matched to a 220W motor and includes all the logic to operate the system so that the user only needs to provide a 22-33V DC supply. The wide input voltage range allows the supply to come directly from a lead-acid battery where the voltage changes depending on the state of charge of the battery.

The controller accelerates the motor along a pre-determined profile then locks the motor speed under tight servo control using velocity and acceleration components in the digital compensation loop. The controller incorporates cycle-by-cycle current limiting to maintain excellent control of the motor.

Features:

  • Waterproof (IP65) case.
  • Over-voltage spike suppression.
  • Fault reporting:
    • Under-voltage supply,
    • Illegal Hall sensor code,
    • Current limit,
    • Over temperature (controller or motor),
    • Motor stall.
  • Automatic retry on error (up to 8 times before stopping).
  • Watchdog for automatic recovery after fault.
