More details of our working arena.
Brushless DC
The cost associated with replacing brushes (which may only last a
few hundred hours with some motors) on a DC motor makes the extra
initial cost of a BLDC motor and controller extremely attractive.
Example brushless controller in a sealed enclosure; vibration and
moisture resistant for use in an aggressive environment.
DC
DC motors are cost effective but still require a controller to
regulate speed and torque.
Example DC controller which offers tight speed regulation and
torque limit to a low cost motor. The motor has a simple variable
reluctance speed sensor.
Stepper
The operation of a stepper motor is open loop, this means a speed
sensor or encoder is not required, therefore reducing
cost; and yet the motor can be under near perfect speed or position
control. To obtain the best performance from a stepper motor a
controlled acceleration and deceleration ramp is required.
